Standard and Customized Workshops
We live and work in groups. The success of any group is not so much the cumulation of talents and skills of its individual members but the ability of the group to function as an effective team. DELTA facilitators use adventure games and activities to enhance the teamwork, communication, trust and problem solving skills within a group of people. Each DELTA program is tailored to the needs and goals of your specific group.

Experiential Learning Through Adventure is a tradition here at Northwest College. More than twenty five years ago our students began learning how to backpack, rockclimb and explore caves. Trips to the Desert Southwest, Yellowstone National Park and other spectacular areas added excitement to the program and gave it distinction. To date more than 3,000 students have entered the world of adventure education through credit courses, workshops, facilitated challenge course activities and expeditions offered at Northwest College.

DELTA Facilities and Equipment
Portable props and games, and certain on-site structures are used to assist the learning. DELTA has a full range of equipment available for workshops at the NWC campus, including High and Low Challenge Ropes Courses. In addition the college owns and maintains High and Low Challenge Ropes Courses at the Mickelson Field Station, a remote learning laboratory located in the Absaroka Mountains 45 minutes west of campus. DELTA also has the capability of bringing much of this equipment "on the road" for workshops conducted at your site. Many adventure education resources already exist in your school and community. We will show you how to utilize them in new and exciting ways to harness the creative energy that comes from real adventure. The Recreation Equipment Co-op provides an additional equipment resource.
