Normal website usage

Northwest College Foundation has a firm commitment to internet privacy. You can visit most portions of www.northwestcollege.edu/foundation without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. The only information we collect from a normal website visit is the name of your internet service provider, the browser and type of machine you are using, the website that referred you to us, the pages you request and the date and time you request them. We use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of the site to our visitors.

 

Collection of personally identifiable information

Northwest College Foundation may collect email addresses, mailing addresses and credit card information when such data is voluntarily submitted to www.northwestcollege.edu/foundation. For example, our site includes a form for updating contact/address information and a form for receiving gifts via credit card transaction. Northwest College Foundation does not sell or otherwise disclose user information outside of the organization.

Northwest College Foundation takes reasonable precautions to ensure that all credit card transactions and address updates that occur on the website are secure. When you submit your credit card or address information at the Northwest College Foundation website, that transaction is encrypted using "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) encryption to prevent your credit card information and/or address from being seen as it travels over the Internet to our servers. We monitor network traffic to ensure that our site remains available to all users and to identify unauthorized attempts to access, upload or change information or otherwise cause damage.

 

Unauthorized access is prohibited and punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
