Galleries
Two galleries at Northwest College create a forum for students to show their work and to see the work of professional artists in a series of regularly scheduled exhibits. Students gain valuable experience maintaining a gallery space, hanging shows and planning openings.
Students are encouraged to participate in NWC student art shows as well as other regional and national competitions.
Northwest Gallery
is located in the Cabre Building. Open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays & Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
SinClair Gallery
is located in the Orendorf Building.
Open from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. weekdays
Admission is free.

Juried Student Photo Show
Northwest College’s 2012 Juried Student Photo Show is an annual event featuring work by students enrolled in the NWC Photographic Communication Program. It contains representative samples of the photography career options offered at Northwest, including photojournalism, portraiture, fashion photography, and product and advertising photography.
This year’s exhibit was juried by NWC photography faculty and staff. During the opening reception, the NWC Trustees’ Purchase Awards will be announced and students represented in the show will be on hand to talk about their works

Northwest Gallery: February 7–March 2

Casey Childs - Portrait Painter
Utah portraitist and NWC alum Casey Childs returns to Northwest for this solo exhibition of portraits and figure studies. An award-winning portraiture artist, Childs, who now lives in Utah, spent most of his youth in Lovell before studying graphic design at Northwest College and Brigham Young University. His parents are former Lovell residents Bruce and Linda Childs.
A collection of his work titled "Casey Childs – Portraitist," has been on display in the SinClair Gallery since late February and will close with the March 22 reception.
